When AJ was diagnosed with autism at the end of last year, it didn't come as a huge shock. It was an adjustment though, especially for him. I want this project to break the stigma around autism and show that it doesn't define him. Yes, it might make him different from the majority of us but it doesn't make him less.
He is still just a 10-year-old boy with friends, hobbies, feelings and interests. Aaron has the biggest heart and the kindest soul. When he feels, he really feels! Which can be difficult when he's met with sadness or anger, but it is incredible when he's met with love, care, compassion or joy.

I am so proud of him and what he overcomes every day. To live in a world centred around how other people see and cope, one that is completely different to his, and not only survive but do extremely well is incredible. If this project conveys just 1% of the person he is, I'm happy.
